Music

MIXED BY Plastic Plates

Slick nu-disco and electro from Kitsuné's Aussie-born Angeleno.

With his cache of cocaine party tunes, it's easy to see why Plastic Plates debuted on Kitsuné, the fabulous Parisian music and fashion label that boasts members like Hot Chip, Digitalism, and, more recently, ghettotech god DJ Assault. The Aussie-born Angeleno's mix of glistening nu-disco and electro tracks from folks like Cajmere, Alex Metric and Disclosure would be a fitting soundtrack for railing lines off a Swedish fashion blogger's Chanel compact, but don't shrug it off as shallow runway music. These are the kinds of slickly-produced gems with which to languish the remaining days of summer. Catch Plastic Plates in NYC tomorrow, August 29, alongside fellow Kitsuné mainstays Classixx and Digitalism, at the Kitsuné Club Night party at Brooklyn's Ouput club.
