Iconic UK trance team Above & Beyond are best known these days for offering headlining festival vibes that keep hands in the air non-stop. They've even gone so far as to invite Bryan Cranston on stage at EDC Vegas to "push the button," further flexing their worldwide grasp. So, it was even more intriguing and impressive when their 2014 debut acoustic shows in London and Los Angeles turned out excellent, even without all the laser beams and celebrity cameos.Performing many of their classic numbers with a 15-piece orchestra in tow has given the trio of Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamäki and Tony McGuinness a a chance to not only show of the intricacies of their songwriting, but also their instrument-playing chops—including acoustic guitar and cello. Who's just pressing play now? Luckily, their tour from last year was only an appetizer to the upcoming feast. Those who have enjoyed the full-length acoustic concert the group shot for THUMP last year will now have a chance to see the show in person as Above & Beyond embark on an extensive world tour that will take them to legendary venues like the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Hollywood Bowl, as well as The Beacon theater in NYC, The Greek Theater in Berkeley, and a place called (try not to laugh) The Wang in Boston. Oh well, it can't be all high-brow.Above & Beyond Acoustic Tour DatesMay 5 - Royal Albert Hall, LondonMay 11 - Chicago Theatre, ChicagoMay 14 - Massey Hall, TorontoMay 17 - The Wang, BostonMay 20 - Beacon Theatre, New York CityMay 21 - Beacon Theatre, New York CityMay 26 - Greek Theatre, BerkeleyMay 28 - Hollywood Bowl, Los AngelesMay 31 - Waikiki Shell, HonoluluJune 6 - Sydney Opera House, Sydney
