EDX Brings One More Summertime Anthem to the Table with "Belong"

Like a bowl of lightly salted chips at a barbecue, throw this on the table and everyone will be satisfied.

If by now, after tracks like "Give It Up For Love" and "This Is Your Life," it's not painfully obvious that DJ/producer EDX runs on positivity, his newest track "Belong" will make it clear. Very clear.

The Spinning Records signee is widely recognised for his shamelessly catchy summer anthems, each with its own mix of progressive basslines, glossy vocal hooks, and a hint of lyrical romanticism. He recently released a remix of Spada's "Catchfire" and one of Sam Feldt's "Show Me Love," which has amassed over 30 million plays online. "Belong" is the newest contribution to his glimmering trophy case.

"When I first started this song, I wanted to produce a record that encapsulated a feeling of belonging to someone or something," says EDX, or Maurizio Colella. "It's been very inspiring for me to be able to create a community where people feel that they belong through my music. This song is the product of this inspiration, as well as the energy at my shows, and seeing all of the smiling faces on the dancefloor."

EDX maintains his summertime palate by building a finger snapping pop-music tempo into a deep, full-bodied bassline. "Belong" is the choice of lightly salted potato chips at a barbeque—throw this on the table and everyone will be satisfied.

"Belong" is out on September 21 on Spinning Records.
