We got our hands on the exclusive recording from the massive Toronto weekend at Echo Beach.
It's a mid-summer Monday morning and you've slept deep into the afternoon. You chisel your eyelids open to the sound of your comrades dusting the sand off their knees and groaning in misery. Your sunglasses sunburn is all that's left to remind you that the weekend is over—Digital Dreams is over. You spend the rest of the month scouring SoundCloud and music blogs to find the recorded sets that gave you life on Saturday and Sunday. Except a majority of the time, they're bloody hard to find. Especially the good ones.
Here at THUMP, we like to save some of the best for last.
On Sunday, June 29th Sharam took the Echo Beach stage in Toronto and left little to be forgotten. As one-half of the award winning powerhouse Deep Dish, Sharam has been injecting spotless techno into the hearts of dance music fans for decades. Probably long before you said your first words. His set at Digital Dreams was a spectacle of unfeigned tracks and mixes that probably had you saying "I need to ID this" over and over.
"Digital Dreams [Festival] was exactly what 'digital dreams' are supposed to be made of: pure electronic bliss! I had a great time playing in front of an amazing crowd that got 'it' musically," Sharam tell us. "I can't wait to be back in Toronto this Sunday at Maison Mercer, and of course, I am looking forward to another Digital Dreams Festival soon!"
Bask in the brilliance of Sharam's 2014 Digital Dreams set above. And if you're looking to revive the feels of his live performance, go grab your tickets to Sharam's show on Sunday, October 12th at Maison Mercer. For the rest of his updates, follow him on social media.
