Dark Desires Turn Androids Into Murder Machines in Odonis Odonis' Music Video "Needs"

Robots rebel against their creators in Scott Cudmore's sci-fi visuals for the Toronto industrial trio.

If pop culture has taught us anything, it's that most androids don't stay loyal to their creators, especially once they've begun to develop their own sinister ideas about the world around them. That's the premise behind the new music video for Toronto industrial trio Odonis Odonis' "Needs," off their latest technology-inspired album, Post Plague.

Directed by Scott Cudmore, the clip for the menacing, synth-heavy coldwave track tells the story of lifelike robots, exploited and abused at the hands of old men looking to satisfy their darkest desires. When the humanoids can't take any more, they rebel, slowly killing off the creepy figures responsible for bringing them into existence, just like in Ex Machina.
