Celeste Goes on a Cyborg Night Drive In "Full of Feeling" Video

The Montreal producer and activist shares a stylish visual for her shimmering electro-pop track.

Montreal DJ and producer Celeste makes a subtle strain of pop-infused house that's both brooding and infectious. To date, she's shared a handful of tracks ranging from minimal techno to dubby house, and exercises her vocal range with shimmering pop.

The rising artist is also heavily involved in activism through Peace Love Unity Respect Initiative (PLURI), a Montreal harm reduction group providing resources and leading workshops to help make the city's nightlife safer. Some of the collective initiatives so far include creating "Zero Tolerance" signs in both English and French for local parties, training volunteers, and working with promoters to build more inclusive spaces.

Today, we're premiering Celeste's music video for her latest single "Full of Feeling," which was directed by Angus McMaster, and features clothing designed by Xavier Laruelle. The stylish clip stars the producer as an immortal cyborg, aimlessly cruising the night à la Drive, while searching for meaning. Plangent synth chords burst through a bare bones beat as she laments, "You want to give my love away/But I still wonder why you dig my grave." Like the rest of her catalogue, "Full of Feeling" is both chilling and ecstatic, proving Celeste is as adept at playing dancefloors as she is protecting them.
