After expanding into the record label realm with Super Fun Bumper Edition's Trends EP late last year, Australian producer crew, radio hosts, and all-around good-vibers Beats of No Nation are back with their second release.

This time, the honor goes to Chord Memory Band, a new duo comprising BONN co-founder Dom Bird (also a member of live disco quartet Mitzi) and Michael Medlycott of Brisbane band Vulture Street Tape Gang. They describe their record debut, the Third Eye EP, as "an analogue journey into the spiritual world, with one simple message: 'the answer is inside.'" All tracks, such as "Marco," are instant mood-lifters filled with warm, fat basslines and summery, jazzy synths that seep into your soul like sunlight hitting your face after a long, cold night.

"'Marco' was one of the first tracks Mike and I wrote together," Bird tells THUMP over email. "We began with a fruity chord progression on the Wurlitzer and after the loop was locked in, we both improvised layers over the top using a bunch of synthesizers. It was a lot of fun."

Listen to "Marco" below ahead of Chord Memory Band's Third Eye release tomorrow, February 24, on Beats of No Nation.
