Toronto's Harrison Gets Meta in Music Video for New Single "It's OK, I Promise"

The Zane Lowe-premiered track also features rising rapper Clairmont The Second.

Following the premiere of Harrison's new single "It's OK, I Promise" yesterday on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show, the Toronto producer has just released a very cinematic video for the track. Directed by Scott Cudmore, the clip is a conceptual video-about-making-a-video, with a bit of the feel of a Jean-Luc Godard film.

"It's OK, I Promise" features up-and-coming Toronto rapper Clairmont The Second, and explores the soulful and romantic hip-hop side of Harrison's sound, rather than the more uptempo "future-funk" he also dabbles in. Clairmont's stream-of-consciousness vocals float over mellow piano chords and a slow, subtly-shifting beat.

We've previously named the young producer as one to watch, and this is the first taste of his forthcoming debut album, to be released through Last Gang later this year.
