Brooklyn producer Dre Skull and dancehall legend Spice have teamed up for an exuberant remix of Jax Jones and RAYE's inescapable 2016 hit "You Don't Know Me."

While the original Booka Shade-sampling track is designed for pop radio, here it's recalibrated by the Mixpak label boss for maximum club functionality. The producer re-fashions the tune with pounding soca drums, laying down a rhythmically-reinvigorated foundation for the Jamaican MC to take control with a set of characteristically magisterial bars.

"As I approached this remix, I knew two things. I wanted to get Spice on the track right away and I didn't want to overcomplicate what needed to be done," Dre Skull told THUMP over email. "The bass line is so iconic, I just wanted to give the track a new rhythmic feel that still served the song."

Listen to the new version of "You Don't Know Me" below, and if you're in NYC, catch Spice and the Mixpak crew June 24 at Knockdown Center in Queens.
