The Dutch dude's finally announced who won the prestigious prize, and the result is a 10/10 screamer.
I know, I know, I can barely contain my excitement either! The big moment's here—finally! Yes, just this minute, the winner of the Grand Legowelt Nightwind Records Drawing Competition has been revealed and we're absolutely delighted to be able to share both that good news and the winning entry with you.
Hopefully you'll remember the competition—which we reckon is the next Turner Prize—being announced earlier this month. We've not been able to sleep ever since, so excited were we here at THUMP by the whole thing. One lucky winner was going to get their hands on a Yamaha PSS 570 FM synthesizer, along with a package of Legowelt music and refrigerator magnets. And now we know who that winner was.
Step forward Christopher Mapleson, you've won that big bag of oddball-booty courtesy of the Dutch DJ and producer! Christopher's drawing can be seen below, and you can check out a tonne of the other entries here. They all look like winners to us.
Now isn't that something? We can't stop looking at it. We never want to.
