Check Out an Exclusive Mix from Kelpe and Stream New Album 'The Curved Line'

Hard stuff from a master of softness.

As Kelpe, Kel McKeown has spent the last decade or so crafting the kind of delicately battered semi-ambient, dusty electronica that brings the likes of Flying Lotus and Prefuse 73 to mind. It's music for daydreamers and nightwalkers, so we were a tad surprised when McKeown turned in this mix for us. Featuring the likes of Alex Deamonds, Alden Tyrell, and BNJMN, it's a rough romp through harsh, clanking, club ready territory. Which isn't a bad thing, obviously. Check it out for yourself below.

As well as that, Kelpe's kindly let you have a listen to his new album The Curved Line which is released on 28th August via his own label DRUT recordings. It's a delicate thing, compact and pristine, packed with minute whirs and hums, carefully considered clicks and cuts. Imagine a less hyperactive Max Tundra or a vaguely sad Cornelius and you're there. A perfect record to live in as Autumn rears itself into view. Stream the whole thing below.
