It's been a good week for fans of Fade to Mind, the US label run by Kingdom and Prince William that's a conceptual transatlantic counterpart and little sister to Bok Bok and L-Vis' Night Slugs. Tuesday saw the internet release of Rizzla's masterful, Ultra Nate interpolating club screamer "Iron Cages" from the forthcoming EP of the same name. Treat yourself to a listen of it below:It'd normally be enough for a label to pout out a melancholy, slow-motion, trance-infused, end of the night anthem, get the tinnies in, crack open a bag of Snyders and call it a week. Fade to Mind isn't a normal label, though. Last night they got firm THUMP favourite Helix and new signing Leonce to virtually roll through the studios at Rinse FM for a midweek session that'll live long in the memory.

Anyone who's been keeping tabs on Helix since the "Stacks Riddim" days knows that he's an incredibly adept and diverse producer and DJ. Lose yourself in the riotous bump of his recent MoMA PS1 mix for FACT for proof of the latter; chuck on "Linn Jam" next to the DJ Vague released "Hard Workin' Trax #2" for irrefutable proof of the later. With that in mind, it's absolutely no surprise that the pair of them absolutely fucking killed it. Stream the entire thing below.
