Five Acts You Won't Want to Miss at Lost Village this Weekend

Ever wanted to sit in a hot tub in Lincolnshire with Jackmaster? This weekend coming you might just get lucky...

What've you got planned this bank holiday weekend? A soggy BBQ? Maybe a bit of DIY? Perhaps you'll be having a few quiet pints with friends before slinking off to have a good long cry over just how shit your life became as soon as you turned 23. Whatever it is, we're pretty sure it won't be as fun as going to the innaugural edition of Lost Village, a new festival taking place in the wild woods of Lincolnshire.

With the likes of Ben UFO, Roman Flugel, Eats Everything, Midland, Jackmaster and a shitload more of some of the biggest and best DJs in the world making the trip down, it's set to be one of the most fun weekends of the year. Now, any festival worth it's salt needs more than just good music to thrive these days, and the team behind Lost Village have got the experiential side of things on lock too. Expect gourmet food, yoga classes, hot tubs and massages —basically everything you need to recover after a night of house and techno, right?

To get you in the mood for the festivities, we've put together this list of the five acts you simply can't miss at Lost Village. We'll see you in the jacuzzi…

1. DJ KOZE

You never know what you're going to get with DJ Koze, which is what makes him such an exciting proposition in an area dominated by DJs happy to stick to the formula. The Pampa man might play a load of 80s electro-funk, he might decide to go into punishing acid house territory, you might find yourself listening to a load of German hip-hop, but whatever happens, Koze'll be one of the most endearing, playful, and downright fun DJs you'll see all year.

2. GERD JANSON

The Running Back boss has been one of our favourite selectors for a few years now, and he's as reassuringly excellent as an old pair of shoes or a McDonalds double cheeseburger. Settling in for a few hours of Janson is a no-brainer for any festival-goer, and unlike the aforementioned burger you won't be left unsatisfied, hungry, and strangely sad afterwards.

3. ROBAG WRUHME

Now, you might find yourself a little banged-out over the course of the weekend. You love all the upfront house and taut techno on offer but there's going to be a moment when you want something slightly calmer, smoother, and ever so soothing. What you want is the crinkling, rustling, wonderfully autumnal sounds of Kompakt mainstay Robag Wruhme. Robag's signature blend of dusty microhouse and jazz-tinged electronica is sure to be a perfect soundtrack to a much needed pint or two of orange juice and a falafel wrap.

4. HEIDI

The Radio 1 presenter and Jackathon host has carved out a niche as one of the scene's most energetic and upfront house DJs. Playing the kind of devastatingly fantastic 4/4 bangers, belters, slammers and stunners that practically command you to dance, Heidi's sure to play one of the weekend's bounciest set. Oh, and she looks like she actually enjoys DJing for a living too, which is nice.

5. JEREMY UNDERGROUND

The Parisian powehouse has made a name for himself for sourcing some of the most monumentally huge records in history and smashing them together in sets that are all shock and 4/4 awe, but as the video above demonstrates, Jeremy can do subtlety just as well. Which mood will we get him in over the weekend? Only time will tell.

Oh, and make sure you don't miss Craig Charles either. Just follow the puddles of sweat…
