The Five W.A.R! Events We're Most Looking Forward To

It's all kicking off in Ibiza.

Tomorrow night, THUMP descends upon the Ibiza Rocks Hotel for a long awaited start-of-summer bash with DJ EZ, Chris Lorenzo, Preditah and C4. We know it's going to be great, and so do you, but we also know it's not the only thing going on in that part of San Antonio this season. Here's another five things to get really excited about as you steel yourself for a few months of W.A.R!

THE RINSE.FM TAKE OVER W.A.R!

The UK's biggest underground radio station are filling their hand luggage with rewind-guaranteed dubplates for a night of bass-heavy mayhem in late August. Everyone's favourite microphone champion Skepta heads up the bill. He'll be ably supported by Lewisham's finest, Novelist, and the unmissable mixmaster Oneman, along with Black Butter Records' hot property Sinead Harnett. Expect a total…shutdown!

BONDAX AND FRIENDS PRESENTS

Early July sees bouncy house duo Bondax bringing a tonne of mates down to Shelter to blow the bloody doors of the place. Mystery man Friend Within lines up alongside Dirtybird's deepest, Doorly.

BUGGED OUT! SEEK SHELTER

Every W.A.R! party — including our own — rolls over to Sankeys for some real late night fun at the newly launched Shelter afterparties. Pick of the bunch sees the Bugged Out! crew, including Boys Noize, Toddla T and Tiga, blast through the roof. Expect some seriously heavy, acid-tinged big room house. Not for the faint hearted.

W.A.R! WITH REDLIGHT

Bristol boy Redlight is going to be bringing his inimitable blend of breakbeat, house and bubbly dub, to the Ibiza Rocks hotel for a celebration of the hotel's tenth year on the White Isle. As if that wasn't a juicy enough proposition, Redlight is going to be bringing Monki and Mella Dee along for support. This will bring the bass to the beach.

W.A.R! GETS RAM JAMMED

September sees the undisputed master of the acetate David Rodigan roll through with a veritable stash of dubs, shout outs, and a whole tonne of patois-heavy putdowns. Shy FX, Toddla T, and Ms Dynamite look set to provide more than adequate support for the only Culture Clash winner with an MBE.
