The Hyperdub producer's guest mix for Naina's Motion show is a breakneck trip through the outer reaches of club music.
Reprezent FM's Naina knows talent when she hears it. The DJ and presenter, whose Friday night show on the station has become as integral a part of a decent weekend's entertainment as Gillette Soccer Saturday, and the Coronation Street omnibus, is on a roll at the moment, with appearances on Rinse FM and a guest mix for Dummy arriving in the last few months.
That extra-curricular activity doesn't mean she's been neglecting her Friday night funfest, though, and last week saw Hyperdub's very own Scratcha DVA roll through the studio (relatively) fresh off the back of his recently released NOTU_URONLINEU LP on the aforementioned imprint, and Naina herself has been nice enough to let you have an exclusive listen to it on us.
The 40 minute set, streaming below, sees the experimentally-inclined club producer racing through a typically eclectic series of selections, taking in everything from squelchy tribal workouts to zero-gravity rollers, UK Funky classicism through to instrumental grime that sounds like Mark Fell had his hands all over it. In short, it is as exhilarating as you'd expect and you should probably wash it down with a very strong coffee right now.
