I'm not a big car person myself. Having only really ever driven my parents' Volkswagen Passat Estate to sixth form when I was 18, my potential passion for automobiles was stunted by a vehicle that looked like a decommissioned tank and sounded like Darth Vader fucking a washing machine. I may, however, have been converted by the dreamy, soft-focus visuals that Lapalux has just dropped in support of his new single "Puzzle", featuring Andreya Triana.

Directed by Nick Rutter, the video follows Leon, a mechanophilia – meaning machines get him all hot under the collar. The bewildered mechanic is led astray by a flashy Porsche, down a beautifully realised rabbit-hole of hallucination and horror. The track itself is another delicate success for Lapalux, a stand out from his recent album Lustmore.Rutter has worked with Lapalux before, and it is easy to see why they have done it again.
