Watch the Video for Mount Kimbie and James Blake's Despairing New Single

"We Go Home Together" is out now on Warp, marking the London group's first new material since 2013.

English duo Mount Kimbie today shared a new single and accompanying music video with their former bandmate James Blake. Where their last studio LP, 2013's Cold Spring Fault Less Youth,  featured relatively direct dance pop tunes, "We Go Home Together" is an aggrieved, imprecisely dissonant take on electronic soul music.

The non-linear video comes directed by London filmmaker Frank Lebon, and seems to trace the grieving process of a breakup. Set first in a young man's bedroom and then following him along a solitary nighttime stroll, the gloomy clip is interspersed with a series of photos and videos of a young woman, like intimate reminders of someone who is painfully no longer around.

Since January 2016, Mount Kimbie has been adding songs to a Spotify playlist of what they listen to in the studio, featuring everyone from Huerco S. to Lil Noid and Diana Ross.

"We Go Home Together" is out now on Warp Records.
