Listen to Denney and Derrick Carter Take It Back to Basics with a Brand New Club-Ready Jack Track

The pair's "Mr Big Hat" is taken from a forthcoming EP on Heidi's Jackathon Jams imprint.
Denney

Since the turn of the decade, everyone's favourite curly-mopped DJ, Heidi, has been curating a series of 12"s that keep both eyes firmly on peaktime dancefloors. The Jackathon Jams releases to date have taken in the likes of Miss Kittin, Jimmy Edgar, Maya Jane Coles, Soul Clap and Kim Ann Foxman.

So it goes that rising UK producer Denney finds himself in very good company indeed. His upcoming Full Circle EP for the imprint sees the tech-house workhorse keeping things typically toned and taut. Oh, and he's hooked-up with some of the biggest names in house history, too. Not content with working with Roger Sanchez for the release, Denney also gave the one and only Derrick Carter a bell.

We're confident in saying that the pair's collaboration, "Mr. Big Hat," is easily the slinkiest house record of 2017 so far—a propulsive, lithe, electro-infused jack-track that's begging to be played on repeat for at least an hour at a time. Let's hope Denney and Carter decide to tag-team more often; if the results are this good they'll be the best musical duo since Zig and Zag.
