Mike Collins is a UK DIY jazz funk maverick, and you'll probably know him best for "Rude Movements," the David Mancuso favourite he produced under the Sun Palace moniker back in 1983. That record, a spacey, woozy, sunrising affair, will go down in Balearic history, but it wasn't the only thing Collins has done.New label MIC have decided to launch themselves into the world with a collection of previously unreleased material by Collins. The result is Lost Tapes 1983-1989, a five-track EP that sees Collins exploring the murky waters of what we now think of as proto-house.
