Since its inception in 2013, Boxed has become the label for anyone with even the remotest interest in forward-thinking instrumental grime that straddles the divide between being club-friendly and fiercely experimental. One of the imprint's biggest names is Logos, a producer credited—alongside Mumdance and Mr Mitch—with crafting and creating "weightless," a floating, sparse, spatially aware take on classicist grime.With tunes appearing on the likes of Keysound, Tectonic, and Glacial Sound, he's become a pivotal part of the UK underground, so when he approached us with this brand new mix we were over the moon. Prepped in advance of this weekend's Boxed party at Phonox in Brixton—where he'll be joined by Slackk, Mr. Mitch, Oil Gang, Grandmixxer, Silk Road Assassins, and Night Slugs' main man Bok Bok—the set is an acidic, caustic, and corrosive trawl through the darker edges of the dancefloor.Check out the mix and a quick interview with the man himself below. Logos: I've mainly been working on new solo material but also had time to work on the next Sprawl EP with Shapednoise and Mumdance. I'm also happy to have been involved in vinyl releases from Boxed and Different Circles as well as a few remixes. My favorite record of the year is Boylan's devil of my tune "Glass", which is a stone cold future classic and which I'm happy to say is forthcoming as part of a special label project (more info soon).Describe this mix for us in five words.
