A Dungeons & Dragons Game Takes a Gristly Turn in BadBadNotGood and Kaytranada's "Violet" Video

The Montreal producer stars as a playable character in the latest clip from the Toronto experimental jazz group.

Two of the hardest working acts in Canadian music, BadBadNotGood and Kaytranada, have shared a new video for "Lavender," a collaboration off the Toronto experimental jazz group's latest album IV.

Directed by Fantavious Fritz, the clip sees the band playing a round of Dungeons & Dragons in a dimly lit basement, with the Montreal producer starring as a playable character. When the game's Dungeon Master goes rogue, they take matters into their own hands, and things only turn gristlier from there.

Previously BadBadNotGood appeared on Kaytranada's 2016 Polaris Prize-winning debut album, 99.9%, and they've also worked on music together with Kali Uchis, GoldLink, and more.
