Submerge in the Gentle Swell of London-Based Duo Lung Dart's "REVERSE 1 (A WHIM)"

Music that sounds like chunks of the atmosphere pulled down and stretched across a tape.

Lung Dart are London-based duo Tim Clay and James Rapson. We've been fascinated with their music for a while. Unlike many acts on the ambient or experimental spectrum, Lung Dart sound tactile, as though every indiscriminate noise that litters each track could be traced back to a particular location, a moment in time. Their preference for field recording, and willingness to stumble upon melody, gives their music a weathered quality—chunks of the atmosphere pulled down and stretched across a tape. Over the bank holiday weekend they premiered first listens to their new mini-album AS I LAY DRYING. The record was accompanied by visuals made by a collection of friends and filmmakers, screened in a cosy back-room in Holdron's Arcade, Peckham. Today we are bringing you a first look at the visuals for the gushing "REVERSE 1 (A WHIM)".

The film, made by Oliver Hyde Mobbs, was shot on a plane to Ireland and a boat to France, and marries the blanket of sea and sky to the hug of the track perfectly.
