ON DECK: R3LL

It's hard not to get drawn into the tenacious sounds of Jersey Club. Emerging out of Newark, a city that's seen more than its fair share of ups and downs throughout the years, the genre and movement has become one of the city's musical contingent's most upmost forms of communal pride. Taking its name from their hometown's long-found aliases, the Brick Bandits are among the most tight-knit crews in music, and have been at the forefront of the genre's buzzing popularity as of late - much in parts to the efforts of an emerging star and core-team member known as R3LL.

Beyond just his productions, a frentic and entertaining blend of clubs sounds interlaced amidst cuts of popular music, the DJ and producer has been helping to expand his city's grasp on the music, much in part to the monthly warehouse event #THREAD which brings in some of the hottest talent and continues to catch the gaze of the industry. His tunes are those destined to grab clicks and plays across the web, much in debt to a knack for pairing himself with the likes of buzzing productions from major players like Cashmere Cat, Disclosure, DJ Snake, and hoards of other charting artists.

For the second edition in our new ON DECK series, we turn the controls over to this intruiging young producer, one who's not following the cues of others, but working tirelessly to create his own. Lock in to R3LL's latest journey through house, club, 2-step and a few other sounds that hit so fast we barely even know what to make of them.
