Masters at Work Share Their First New Original Material in Almost a Decade

Hear a snippet of their forthcoming remixes of MAW-member Kenny Dope in collaboration Robert Owen now.

The importance of NY duo Masters at Work—aka Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez and Louie Vega—to the history of house music is undeniable, as the legions of DJs they've gone on to influence will certainlytell you. Unfortunately, though, since their initial 90s-00s run, the duo have been quite for over a decade.

Early in the new year, this is all set to change, as the duo come back together to remix Kenny Dope's solo track "Bricks Down," which features vocals from the equally-legendary Robert Owens. For the occasion, they've also reinaugurated the Kenlou alias, offering up a "Rubber Dubb" of the original in addition to the MAW version proper. Producers Mr. G and Doc Daneeka have also contributed remixes; Dope's label Dopewax will release both sets on January 8. You can stream snippets of each below.
