Chestplate's Sleeper Takes Dubstep on a Techno Adventure

Somewhere between Fabric and Berghain...Belgium, maybe?

"Sleeper is setting the standard with this release, beats that have depth plus smash up the dance," says Chestplate head honcho Distance. When the bossman weighs in like that, what more can you say? Sleeper's got a three track EP forthcoming, and in betwixt minimalist dubstep crushers "Crucially Dubbing" and "Stronghold," is this techno-tinged A-side "Lander."

The tune has those essential deep dubstep vibes: Cold tones, vast atmospherics, and a rumbling sub-low bass – but there's a bleepy-bloopy quality to the whole thing that suggests Lander's gone walkabout to Berlin at some point recently.

"I feel like I've come back to my roots with this release," says Sleeper. "After spending a year or so experimenting with new styles and techniques I seem to have ended up back where I started, writing stripped back, dubby music that I really enjoy making"
