Icelandic experimental pop star, Björk, announced today that Arca is helping out on three tracks of her new album. The Venezuelan producer also co-produced Björk's last album, 2015's Vulnicura, along with herself and Tri Angle artist The Haxan Cloak. In an interview with comedian Julia Davis published today in AnOther magazine, Björk revealed that she and Alejandro Ghersi "have got three songs down."

Offering a sense of the forthcoming LP's thematic content, she explained that this record would be the "paradise" to Vulnicura's "hell." Notably, that 2015 release was openly about Björk's breakup with American artist Matthew Barney, with the artist describing it as a "complete heartbreak album" in a Facebook post published near its release date.

"I don't even know if I should say, but I have got three songs down with Alejandro [Ghersi, AKA Arca], who I worked with on the last album [Vulnicura]," she said in the interview. "The last album, we sort of call it 'hell'—it was like divorce! So we are doing paradise now. Utopia. We have done hell, we have earned some points."

She also clarified that the album is "really early on" in its process, explaining: "I'm still allowing myself to be a submarine; I don't totally have the view of it yet." Furthermore, she offered, "It's funny, each album is different for me. Like, what comes first? With this one it's maybe the melodies. This is very abstract, but the melodies have a similar kind of shape."
