THUMP's Invading Miami for a Week of Big Beats with Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, and Maceo Plex
It's all going down at The Miami Beach EDITION's Basement club, and you don't want to miss it.
For the second year running, we'll be invading all 6,300 square feet of the Basement Miami for a week of pumping basslines and mind-melting techno; at the end of the whole thing, there'll also be a grand finale of disco, funk, and soul performed by none other than Carl Cox. It's all going down at The Miami Beach EDITION during Miami Music Week, March 15-20.
Along with Cox's annual send-off, the THUMP-presented marathon of beats—all deployed from Basement's state-of-the-art sound system—will feature Hot Creations boys Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Acid Pauli & Friends, Richie Hawtin (and friends, duh), Seth Troxler's infamous Big Tittie Surprise, and a Saturday night with Maceo Plex's Ellum label. Revelers will also get a chance to immerse themselves in the venue's functioning bowling alley, ice skating rink, and collection of old-school arcade games. Because nothing goes along with minimal techno than the pairing of Galaga and a triple axel, right?
In case you didn't know, Basement Miami is the brainchild of Ian Schrager, co-founder of Studio 54 (NBD), and features stellar curation by Nicolas Matar, who founded two little NYC haunts by the name of Cielo and Output. We're thrilled to be heading down to Miami for another week of amazing music, and hopefully less of a sunburn than last year. Check out the flier below, pick up your tickets here, and we'll see you on the dancefloor, as well as the ice-skating rink.
