Killing It: The STFU Edition

Bieber and Diplo get cozy, Gaslamp Killer needs to pay medical bills, and Dirty South Joe says it like it is. KILLING IT!

There's enough gossip going around the world of electronic music that it probably deserves its own TMZ, Gawker, and Perez Hilton. We keep track of the drama, the beef, the LOLs, the dramatic build-ups, and the tragic drops so you don't have to. Now, let's see who killed it this week.

FANS MAD AT DIPLO ABOUT JUSTIN BIEBER COLLAB
The new Bieber single is out and somehow a rumor was started that it was produced by Diplo. This made fans very upset and caused a lot of complaining on the internet. First off why would this surprise anyone? And second: this is not true even though they have already worked together. So before you get your rave tutu in a bunch, do some research!

AND SPEAKING OF JUSTIN BIEBER
Justin Bieber is killing it! This weekend the shirtless pop star walked up to Michael Woods at a nightclub in South Korea, asked him to play some hip hop and when Woods told him to "fuck off" Beebz tried to throw a punch at Woods's tour manager. Then Deadmau5 weighed in on the topic and his timeline got flooded with Belieber hate. GOOD WORK GUYS! KEEPING EDM EXCITING!

AN OPEN LETTER TO DJ KAOS
We are still writing open letters, right? Or was that last week? Either way now you know who DJ Kaos is.

GASLAMP FOREVER
The almighty scooter crash-surviving legend that is Gaslamp Killer is holding a benefit to help cover his hospital bills. He has our full support. This event is on November 7 in Los Angeles, California, and will have many "special guests." He will also be revealing "The Gaslamp Killer Experience." We are not sure what this means but it seems really promising. Admission is free with a donation of any kind but if you are unable to make it you can donate too.

DANNY BROWN'S NOT MESSSING AROUND
So Danny Brown kicked off a North American tour with Pretty Lights this week and then immediately kicked himself off. Apparently he couldn't handle some negative feedback in St. Louis, threw a mic, walked off stage, said on twitter he didn't even know who Pretty Lights was and it was "his bad"—he is off the tour. Damn son, where'd you find that attitude?

MUNCHI IS BACK

Moombahton superstar Munchi is back after a long hiaitus related to health problems and a disappearing act. We saw a few tracks from him last month but this week he is back with a tune that he named "Fuck Bitch Promoters VIP." Not the best title choice considering he is notorious for not showing up to gigs, but we are happy to see him making music again.

DJ CYBERBULLY
So we saw this on Do Androids Dance this week and we want to know why a grown man that is a successful DJ (TJR) would post some video of a kid DJing "unplugged" with his friends at what seems like a birthday party at a restaurant. Are you really "calling dudes out," dawg? I bet he will learn a lesson. He will never play his abuela's birthday party ever again.

WE ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM
It's all fun and games until Dirty South Joe calls us racist and then resurrects the Hollertronix message board. For further reading, see DJ Uniique's commentary on anonymous, masked producers making Jersey club music.
