Get Weird with Main Course's Mutant Club Compilation

the open-format partystarters embrace their freaky side.

LA-based Main Course are always good for two things: Gettin' weird and gettin' heavy with the club vibes. With this fresh, new Mutant Club compilation, they've turned up the dial on both.

"There has always been a common taste and aesthetic behind what we loved, played, made and wanted to release via Main Course," says the label's Neoteric. "And that sound was what we now refer to as Mutant Club. We found some incredible demos that felt like they shared those same vibes, gathered a crew of mutants from around the world to collaborate and put together this release."

From the dystopian dancehall vibes of "Warrior" to Bot's breakbeat headfuckery in "T4" to "Jafra," the tabla-laden closer, the mutant perspective of this release is front-and-center. It's in keeping with Main Course's ethos in general.

"Astronomar & Bot are masters of the Mutant Club sound," Neoteric goes on. "Their productions just have that feel. I kind of connected the dots between the new producers we had been working with, like Dizzy Bell from Austria and All Guns Blazing from Germany and co-ordinated the whole crews efforts and collabos. Asking our dudes RVBRA from Italy to join us was a no brainer - they make some of the wildest, quirkiest stuff we've ever heard. Tony Quattro is our boy from New York and straight up gets the sound. And Trooko actually Switch's engineer, so it was a no brainer to add him into the mix."
