Is Conspiracy Theorist Alex Jones a Secret Techno Producer?

Can we expect an 'Infowars' fabriclive mix in the not too distant future?
This post ran originally on THUMP UK.

If you recognize Alex Jones, the pink-headed radio host in the picture above—a man who if blood pressure was wealth would be the most valuable man in America—then you've probably seen one of his hot-headed conspiratorial rants, on his YouTube channel "Infowars." In that context he's closely associated with the fake news and white supremacists in the US, known for sweeping claims about 9/11 being an inside job, Sandy Hook not happening, and Obama and Hillary literally being demons from the depths of hell. All of this is a roundabout way of saying that he's not necessarily the sort of person you'd expect to find on the next Kompakt compilation.

However, those brash preconceptions might yet be proven wrong. Music and culture website Aux.TV spotted an intriguing array of equipment in the background of a recent rant, catchily titled "Democrat Counter-Coup Against Trump in Progress." As the website points out, he has behind him "a TR-808, mixing board, CDJs, a pair of monitors, and…what looks like three TB-303s." Since then the plot has thickened, when this comment was discovered under a video of A Guy Called Gerald playing around in his studio.

Since then, Jones has even been set up with his own Discogs page. Since then, FACT have done some digging of their own, and even found the Infowars man defending Gerald on Reddit. All of which has left the original conspiracy theorist at the centre of a conspiracy of his own. Is Alex Jones a secret techno producer? Even if he isn't, it's a funny thought! Almost funny enough to make you forget he's an aggressive, ultra-right-winger! LOL!
