Aphex Twin, Jamie XX Nab Nominations for BRIT Awards 2016

Major Lazer also made the cut alongside pop acts like Coldplay and Adele.

The nominations are in for this year's BRIT Awards, and a handful of electronic artists have made the cut. Aphex Twin and Jamie XX are in the running for British Male Solo Artist alongside Calvin Harris, James Bay and Mark Ronson, while Jamie XX's In Colour also appears among the nominees for British Album of the Year. Major Lazer nabbed a nomination in the International Group category.

Addition British nominations include Adele, Foals, Blur, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse, Sam Smith, Mark Ronson, Florence and the Machine, and Years & Years. Among the international artists are Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala, Björk, Courtney Barnett, the Weeknd, Father John Misty, Lana Del Rey, Eagles of Death Metal, Alabama Shakes, and U2.

Fans can vote for their favorites in the British Artist Video and British Breakthrough categories at the BRIT Awards website. Adele, Coldplay and the Weekend are scheduled to perform at the ceremony, which airs on February 24th.
