They're Back! Axwell /\ Ingrosso Drop the Video for 'Something New'

"Something New" is worthy of a long ride through the desert.

Was there ever any doubt that Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso would come back to us? Since debuting as Axwell / Ingrosso last June, the former Swedish House Mafia members have teased elements of their return. First with gigs at festivals, then with word of an actual album. The first song from the forthcoming LP, "Something New," is co-written by fellow Swedes Vincent Pontare (who co-wrote SHM's "Save the World" and Ingrosso's tune with Tommy Trash, "Reload") and Salem Al Fakir (whose voice and writing style we know from a few Avicii records including "You Make Me"). Musically, the tune recalls the very best of SHM but with a bright and looser energy that does, indeed, live up to its title.

"Something New" first premiered in a TV spot for Beats by Dre on Thanksgiving in the US. That commercial, filled with celebs (including Kendall and Kylie Jenner) is a far cry from the official video. Directed by another duo, Ian & Cooper, best known for their work with Boom Bip and Joel Compass, the clip takes the viewer on a motorcycle ride through an elongated traffic jam in the desert. At the end, there are only two questions: Where can we get leather jackets like that? And is this the road to Ultra Miami?
