Black Dice Member Eric Copeland to Score Horror Film With Natasha Lyonne and Chloë Sevigny

'Antibirth' will tell the story of drug-addled marines, conspiracy theories, and a mysterious illness.

Brooklyn artist and Black Dice member Eric Copeland has already accomplished a lot in his solo career—putting out influential work on labels like L.I.E.S. and DFA—but his trajectory is about to take a turn that perhaps not many of us expected. Film Music Reporter has announced that he will be scoring Antibirth, a horror film written and directed by Danny Perez that stars the likes of Natasha Lyonne, Chloë Sevigny, and Mark Webber.

IMDB offers the following synopsis for the film: "In a desolate community full of drug-addled Marines and rumors of kidnapping, a wild-eyed stoner named Lou wakes up after a wild night of partying with symptoms of a strange illness and recurring visions as she struggles to get a grip on reality while stories of conspiracy spread."

This will be Perez' first feature-length film. He has previously produced visuals for both Animal Collective and Black Dice, including their hour-long ODDSAC film from 2010, streaming below. Antibirth will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016.
