Don't slam your head into a block of ice just yet. Bikinis, tan lines, ice cream, and all the good shit that comes with getting more than five hours of daylight is right around the corner. Here to put you in the mood for summer: Champagne Drip's remix of Lemonade's "Durutti Shores," a track so sweetly tropical it sounds like Phil Collins and the Chiquita Banana girl's honeymoon song. We don't know much about Champagne Drip, but we do know that his palm tree vibes were all over this awesome mix, and that the anonymous producer's debut EP came out last year on Mad Decent. His signature synth-washed sound--which he calls "drip hop"--is inspired equally by Miami Vice composer Jan Hammer's keyboard funk as it is by Boards of Canada's woozy melodies. Asked over email to describe what his project is all about, Champagne Drip simply replied: "Tropical. Sexy. Vacation." And because a GIF is worth a thousand words, he also sent us this:Champagne Drip is on Facebook // Twitter // SoundCloudLemonade's Minus Tide is out now on CascineFollow Michelle Lhooq on Twitter
