North Coast Music Festival Announces Initial Lineup

Festival season is nearly upon us and the laundry list of summer soirees are dropping their lineups left and right. While Chicago is best known for it's Grant Park-based mega-fest, Lollapalooza, one would be foolish to overlook it's saavy younger brother, North Coast, which is based in the more moderately sized Union Park on the city's West Side. This late-August throwdown, dubbed "Summer's Last Stand" is geared towards more of an eclectic range of tastes and has released a fifth-anniversary lineup that ranges from bass-wielding beatsmiths like Bassnectar and Zeds Dead to more experiemental groups like STS9, Keys n Krates and Little Dragon.

Attendees of this growing festie will also get their big-beat EDM fix on main-stage superstars like Alesso, Dada Life and Nicky Romero. North Coast has also long been known to play to the tastes of jam-band lovers and this year plays host to the long-awaited reunion of jamtronica group, The New Deal.
