City Life Goes Kaleidoscopic in Amtrac’s New “Escalator” Video

The Kentucky-born producer's mellow track gets paired with a busy visual.

Earlier this year, Kentucky-born artist Amtrac launched his own label, Openers. The imprint was born so the producer could retain total creative control of his work, thus allowing him to share mellower music aimed more toward warming the dancefloor (hence the "openers" name) than for peak-time house scorchers.

On the heels of Openers' second release, True Value, Amtrac has today shared the music video for one of its tracks, "Escalator." Its a chill, progressive-leaning tune with twinkling synths prime for star-gazing. The video, directed by Brady Spear, sees a number of scenes from city life—buildings, bridges, and freeways—bent and reflected in a kaleidoscopic effect. The mellow, sprawling tone of the track juxtaposed with the busy images of urban life makes for a lovely, geometric-filled contrast.

Watch "Escalator" above. Amtrac's True Value EP is out now.
