Last month, Bon Iver's Justin Vernon claimed the group's latest album, 22, A Million, was heavily influenced by a Roland synthesizer. Now, after the album's release, Vernon has taken that influence one step further.

During an appearance at Berlin's Michelberger Music, a two-day music and visual arts event, Vernon performed a live techno set. Vernon performed with members of the Teenage Engineering team who created the OP-1 portable synthesizer, an instrument used throughout 22, A Million.

The performance was not random. Michelberger Music emphasizes collaborations between artists. The event was assembled by Vernon along with Aaron and Bryce Dessner of the National and the Michelberger Hotel in Berlin.
