Florida producer and club mainstay Brazen is finally giving a proper debut to "Chainblingin," a track he's been dropping in his DJ sets for years. "Chainblingin'" is a collaboration with Shunda K and Shon B, also known as the legendary duo Yo! Majesty. Described as "gangster bass," "Chainblingin'" has an electro, souped-up old-school hip-hop-vibe, intended as a modern anthem for the struggles of street life. Its rapid breaks, satisfying drops and bouncy but furious rhymes keep this track swaggy, fun, and sharp.

Yo! Majesty's Shon B explained that Brazen and Yo! Majesty all wanted to create a "street-anthem-worthy joint." So in 2011, Brazen teamed up with Shunda K and Shon B to make "Chainblingin." Unfortunately the group split soon thereafter, so momentum on the track stalled. But Brazen pushed ahead to debut "Chainblingin'" because he and his collaborators felt they needed to add their voices during this fraught political moment.

"It is really hard in the streets and every day as we say in the song, it's time for people to take that fact for serious," said Shon B in an email to THUMP. "Every day it's a struggle to take care of family and bills. And I'm an artist who toured and who has gone overseas to perform and it's still a battle. I know some people are struggling hard and some don't but we all gotta make an effort, push back, rise up and not let the world take us down."

"Chainblingin'" exclusively hit Beatport on May 29, and will be available on all other digital sites two weeks later. The release includes the original track, a clean vocal mix, a trap remix, an extended mix and a radio cut. You can listen to the original below. And look out for more from Brazen soon: "Chainblingin'" is part of a bundle of new tracks, to be released on his independent music label Ballistic Music later this year.
