Carly Simon and EDM are two things most would not put together.

However, the Boston Globe reports the iconic folk rock singer is venturing into the world of EDM. The musician is working with her son, Ben Taylor, on EDM remixes of some of her most significant songs, including "Anticipation," and "You're So Vain."

Simon revealed the piece of news during a book signing at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts last week. In addition to the remix, Simon also revealed her desire to record an album with her children Sally Taylor and Ben Taylor.

Simon is not completely unfamiliar to dance music. In 1982, Simon released "Why," the disco-funk single for the film Soup for One. The track was produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers of Chic and became a staple in the Paradise Garage and club scene of the early 1980s. In 2011, Alpines and Maya Jane Cols released a cover version of the track.
