Factory Girls—a strident trio of feminist DJs and producers Gun$ Garcia, Suga Shay, and Katie Rex—have put together an exclusive mix for THUMP to help you realign your priorities this Valentine's Day. The hour-long Galentine's Day mixtape, named after a party in Philadelphia the collective is throwing this weekend—is a masterful party blend of exclusively female-identified producers, remixers, and vocalists, celebrating the collective's dedication to the under-represented femme side of dance music.

For the past four years, the Factory Girls have been throwing Galentine's Day as an antithesis to the usual Valentine's Day hype. Rex said: "We've always set out to create spaces for people that didn't have them elsewhere, but Galentine's Day has been especially special because you rarely find moments in which female/femme identified people are expected and 'permitted' to celebrate each other outside of bridal showers."

Each of the Factory Girls' musical specialism, from Gun$ Garcia's underground hip-hop and Jersey Club, to Suga Shay's ballroom and tech-house, and Katie Rex's techno and deep house cuts, is repped on the eclectic mixtape. Rex told THUMP over email: "Seeing women beginning to be celebrated in the music industry has been so empowering. The mix represents the power and influence women hold in groups, while still holding their strong individual place, much like each of our roles in Factory Girls."

In addition to Galentine's Day in Philadelphia, the Factory Girls' tour will include a stop in New York's Le Bain for Chromat's NYFW after-party, as well as Los Angeles's the Lash, where they'll be joined by local heavy hitters Club Aerobics, Ducky, Bianca Oblivion, and Suspect Bitch. Check more information for the events in New York, Philly and LA. Listen to the mix and check out the track list below.
