Watching D∆WN's musical metamorphosis has been less like caterpillar-to-butterfly, and more like butterfly-to-dragonfly. From bright and fluttering, to rare, strong, but yet-still gentle. The singer/songwriter, once Dawn Richard from girl group Danity Kane, surprised us today with the full output of her hotly-anticipated collaboration with Fade to Mind label head, Kingdom.

Infrared is a fiercely delicate four-track EP of emotionally-wrought lyrics smoothed over geometric beats. From the heart-wrenching "Honest," which dropped last week, that speaks to anyone who's not come to terms with the end of a relationship, to the powerfully re-invigorating concluding track, "Baptize." Kingdom, aka Ezra Rubin, softens slightly on production, rounding off the record with a blunted edge that's nonetheless assertive.

The record is out today on Fade to Mind and is streaming in full below.
