Berlin-based, Minnesota-bred DJ/producer Dustin Zahn is mostly known for his work behind the decks, playing ferocious-yet-tasteful techno at clubs like Berghain and Output while producing the same for labels like Adam Beyer's Drumcode, Radio Slaves, REK'D, and his own Enemy Records imprint. Now Zahn has decided to show the world his friendly Midwest charms, hosting a new podcast series, Train Wrecks, where he interviews friends, colleagues and heroes from the techno community.

The first in the series features a "drunkcast" with two of Southern California's leading techno lights, Truncate (aka Audio Injection) and Drumcell. The two perform together as Cell Injection, and the three artists talk about techno, skydiving and Burning Man while getting progressively more wrecked as the conversation unfolds. The second podcast, also released today, shines a light on one of the American rave scenes most enigmatic figures, Kurt Eckes (aka DJ Jethrox), the founder of the cult-like Drop Bass Network, whose tough-as-nails acid and hardcore releases offered a dark and twisted take on rave's dayglo exterior throughout the 90s.

You can download both podcasts on the Train Wrecks Podcast site, and subscribe on iTunes. And if listening to DJs talk is your thing, please plug-in to THUMP's own DJ interview podcast, Rave Curious, for conversations with stars like Radio Slave, Honey Dijon, Curses, Danny Tenaglia and more.
