Listen to Dubbel Dutch’s Euphoric Remix of Tkay Maidza’s Infectious “Carry On (ft. Killer Mike)”

The up-and-coming Australian rapper has released a remix package of the lead single from her 2016 self-titled album “TKay.”

Listening to Zimbabwean/Australian rapper and pop artist TKay Maidza will make you feel like an elated 17 year old on top of the world—when you listen, turn the volume up and let yourself catch her infectious joy.

Bursting with energy and an endearing teenage swagger, the 20-year-old has previously collaborated with the likes of Martin Solveig and broke onto the scene with her "Switch Tape" EP. In October, she released the self-titled TKAY album on Downtown Records with track after track of ebullient, danceable and smart pop and hip-hop. Today, the label releases an official remix package for the album's lead single "Carry On (ft. Killer Mike)." They've shared with THUMP a genre-hopping Dubbel Dutch remix. The dextrous producer maintains the original's joyful bouyancy while giving it a uptempo dance spin that's sure to carry it through the soundwaves of spring and summer festivals.

"I'm honored to have been asked to reimagine this song! Tkay has been such a positive role model for the next generation of artists," said Dubbel Dutch in an email to THUMP. "I always try to keep a running thread of hopefulness and lightness in my productions and ultimately had a lot of fun transmuting the original into something slightly more euphoric and uplifting."
