DVBBS and Jay Hardway's Team Up on Spooky Banger "Voodoo"

Even the big EDM guys are getting into the occult.

Whether it's Lady Gaga joining the cast of American Horror Story or Alexander Wang putting the "goth" back into "health goth" with his latest collection, one thing's for sure: the occult is very much still in vogue. Even the big EDM guys are getting into it. Today, Canadian dance duo DVBBS teamed up with Dutch producer Jay Hardway on "Voodoo," out on Amsterdam label Spinnin' Records.

The collaboration came about after a few opportune backstage hangouts. "The entire DJ community is like a big family. We met each other through some festivals and got along very well. We decided to collaborate and sat down in Jay's studio in Amsterdam last summer, when we worked on the first ideas for Voodoo. About a month ago Chris flew to Amsterdam to finish it off with Jay-we're very happy with the result," says DVBBS.

This isn't the first occult-themed track by Hardway. He broke out last year with "Wizards," a track he co-wrote with his good friend Martin Garrix. There has been some online speculation that Garrix was also involved with "Voodoo," but Hardway confirms that he was not-although he says that they like to exchange feedback on their various projects, because "I knew him from before he became so big so we're always very honest with each other." Gather your voodoo dolls and listen to the party track above.
