Pablo Díaz-Reixa, aka El Guincho, emerged in the late aughts as Spain's answer to Panda Bear, with his excellent sweet and sandy electronic tropicalia album Alegranza!. Reixa would attempt to shrug off the comparison to the Animal Collective member by offering the darker Pop Negro (literally "Black Pop"), before falling completely off the map. Now he's making his return with HiperAsia, available digitally, on vinyl, and…as wearable items.

You read that right, the Spanish producer has team up with the custom lifestyle product company Wellness to produce a line of shoes, clothing, and wristbands that will come equipped with bonus material from the album, or, in Díaz-Reixa's words, media that will bring the wearer to "a world of ever-mutating content made available, until its demise." Buy the wristbands here.

As for the music itself, Díaz-Reixa is in premiere form, launching samples of someone shouting "Buena!" as he noodles a keyboard melody surrounded by crackling percussion. On the lead single "Comix," he's joined by Spanish rapper Mala Rodríguez who raps an auto-tuned verse. Check out the colorful video below, shot by Barcelona film collective CANADA.

Hiperasia will be released by the Los Angeles label Nacional Records on February 12 digitally and on March 11 physically.
