Public Information will release a collection of unreleased, home-recorded works titled Electromuse by early UK synth composer Malcolm Pointon later this year. Pointon, who died in 2007, helped produce music programs for the BBC's Third Programme and founded an electronic studio at Homerton College in Cambridge.

According to WIRE, "Symbiosis," one of the pieces in the new collection, was created for the homemade Minisonic synthesizer. A score for Symbiosis was included in Practical Electronics magazine, where Pointon was also a contributor.

All proceeds from Electromuse will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society. Pointon was diagnosed with the disease at the age of 51. "He became unable to operate his studio and so his rare gift to electronic music was gone, until now," Public Information wrote on their website. "Public Information and curator Ian Helliwell are incredibly proud to share Malcolm's music with you." In addition to the donation, Public Information announced a series of electronic music events to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society titled Memory Dance.

Electromuse will drop on vinyl and digital on October 28. Pre-orders are currently available.
