Flying Lotus' debut film, Kuso, has faced controversy since its initial debut at this year's Sundance Film Festival in January. Audiences reportedly walked out during its screening and one reviewer even called it, "the grossest movie ever made."

Despite those detractors, the film–which features funk legend George Clinton, Tim Heidecker, and Anders Holm, among many others–will be released sometime this summer.

In a series of tweets from Saturday, the producer revealed details about the making of Kuso and its release.

"Almost lost my mind making Kuso," he tweeted. "Sacrificed lots. Learned plenty. I hope some of y'all like it."

The film has reportedly been uploaded to film distribution services and FlyLo describes it as, "finally done(-ish)."

The film's official dates and screening details will be shared soon. Read the rest of Flying Lotus' tweets about the film below. In February, the producer said that Kuso was about telling different black stories.
