Life on Planets Make Folk-House That Doesn't Suck

Aloe Blacc is nowhere to be found on this one.

Remember when folk house became a thing? We can all thank the golden-haired Swede who needn't be named and Aloe Blacc for that one. Some might think that musical endeavor was the best thing since sliced bread, while others believe it sounds like someone threw a banjo and and copy of Logic Pro into a laundry machine until the point of combustion. Regardless of opinions, Wolf + Lamb has just helped present the next step in vocal-based folky house music—and it actually doesn't suck.

Hailing from the city of Baltimore, Life on Planets pack a sound and live performance that remains simple, but also impressively musical. The finished product helps to blur the lines between downtempo dance music and lyric-heavy tunes that your parents would probably tolerate if you threw it on the car stereo during your next family road trip. Stream "Fork In The Path" from their upcoming debut EP A Public Affair (out on Double Standard Records) andplease send us videos of you attempting the World's first honky tonk two-step.
