This Grades Remix of Nile Rodgers is Already an Ibiza Anthem

Can we just go on vacation now? Like, right now?

Seeing as the summer festival season is rapidly approaching, and we're craving that "dancing on a beach with a mojito in each hand" vibe, here's an unlikely but joyous remix to get you even more in the mood. As part of IMS this month, Chic legend Nile Rodgers recorded "Do What You Wanna Do (IMS Anthem);" furthering his recent domination of the pop world alongside Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams, and stamping that peerless Chic signature on the summer sound. This remix comes from London producer Grades, whose rework of Brandy's "I Wanna Be Down" got rinsed here a few months back.

Forthcoming on the Cr2 label, it makes sense that this remix is part of a celebratory package of the label's 10 year anniversary. Having pushed gargantuan dance names like Eric Prydz and Steve Angello in their earlier days, and now the likes of Deadmau5 and Carl Cox, it's the big names—and big sounds—that Cr2 are championing, and Nile Rodgers pedigree and recent crossover into a more commercial dance sound seems an apt fit.

Nile Rodgers - "Do What You Wanna (IMS Anthem)" (Grades Remix) is released on Cr2 on June 9th.
