Exmag and BRANX Make Sexy Bass Their "MVP"

Pulled from their forthcoming EP 'Plants and Animals,' the electro-soul squad drops a new video to highlight what's to come.

Exmag hails from Brooklyn and consists of Mike Iannatto, Tyler Dondero, and Eric Mendelson – who you might know for providing his saucy guitar licks on Gramatik's beats, both live and in the studio.

Collaborator BRANX, formally known as D.Carls cut his teeth in the city of Baltimore, Maryland but now shares a borough with Exmag.

Together, the two entities are among a close-knit cabal of artists working tirelessly to push themes of festival-charged bass. Their oozy palette of electro-soul often includes distorted vocals that your hips simply can't resist latching upon. The "MVP" video which features songwriter Denzell Terell on vocals showcases their homie-centric ethos with clips of their many friends and collaborators as well as glimpses of their lives on the road as they hit up nationwide stops like Colorado's famed Red Rocks. Also, in true Brooklyn fashion, we even get shots of them grabbing some air on a local rooftop.

For their forthcoming collaborative Plants and Animals EP the two artists are off doing their own thing, away from such electro-soul labels as Lowtemp and All Good Records that helped give them their introduction to the industry. Instead, we see them interestingly bring their talents to Members Only (yes, the jackets), who will be dropping the release as part of their new musically-inclined agenda. Latch on to the new visuals above, and be sure to check out the whole gang as they embark on an upcoming spring tour.
